Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400℉. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. unroll the pizza dough, and spread one roll on each of the baking sheets. Use your fingers to press the dough, making sure that it is in an even layer.
Spread ½ cup of pizza sauce on each crust, leaving a border of about 1 ½ inches all the way around.
Sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella on top of the sauce, then layer the ham, salami, and pepperoni. Finish with the fresh mozzarella.
Brush the border of the dough that you left without toppings with the egg and roll it up, starting with one of the long sides. When you get it all rolled up, pinch the seam together and arrange in so that the seam side is down. Pinch the ends together to close and tuck them under. Repeat with the second stromboli.
Cut slits in the top to allow steam to escape and brush all over with the remaining egg.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the fillings are bubbling. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5-7 minutes before cutting into slices. Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
Notes
You can use pre-packaged meats for this, but it’s best to get the freshly sliced at your deli.
Change up the fillings - use what you love!
If it begins to brown too quickly in the oven, cover with foil.
