Cheeseburger Salad Bowls
Loop & DashA deconstructed cheeseburger makes for a tasty salad
Servings: 8 servings
Ingredients
Sauce:
- ⅓ cup barbecue sauce
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- ⅓ cup mustard
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp paprika
Burgers:
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 ½ tsp seasoning salt, like Lowry’s
- ¾ tsp black pepper
Salad:
- 8 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup pickle slices
- 2 cups shredded colby jack cheese
- 4 Roma tomatoes, diced
Instructions
- Make the sauce. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir until well combined. Taste for seasoning and adjust as necessary.
- Add the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, and black pepper to a medium-sized bowl. Using your hands or a spoon, mix until the seasonings are evenly distributed in the meat. Divide into 8 portions and shape into patties.
- Grill burgers on an outdoor grill or a grill pan until cooked through.
- Assemble the salad either in a large salad bowl or individual bowls. Layer lettuce, onion, pickles, cheese, tomatoes, and a burger patty. Top with the sauce or a dressing of your choice and enjoy!
Notes
- Mix up the toppings! We like to keep things classic, but dress this salad up with your favorites.
- Our grocery list includes shredded iceberg lettuce to save you time, but you can buy 2 heads of iceberg and shred your own if you’d prefer.
